Board Connects

Recognising the barriers and challenges for Black and Asian individuals in applying successfully for trusteeships, we have developed an online peer support network. Board Connects is for aspiring and current Black and Asian trustees. This network now has over 300 members. If you are a Black or Asian aspiring or current trustee, or know somebody who is, please sign up to our Board Connects newsletter to join the network.

By joining the network, you will get access to 

• • Regular trustee vacancies that have been assessed by the team to ensure inclusive recruitment practices 
  • Development opportunities, such as mentoring and shadowing schemes 
  • Early access to upcoming programmes and new initiatives 
  • Peer support, the opportunity to connect with other Black and Asian current/aspiring trustees navigating similar challenges 
  • Practical guidance on applying for and undertaking governance roles
